What a great little place in Ennis Montana. The service was as good as it gets. Pretty crowded, especially for a Wednesday afternoon but our food was served very quickly. Lots of specialty beers on the menu too!!
Top notch meal tonight! Come in from a long 8 hour drive plus my morning shift setting windows and waiter says, “we have one special left.” Told me what it was and I didn’t have to think about it. You know when you know that you made a great decision for the day!? It was when I took the first bite of my mashed potatoes and then delving into the gravy smothered chicken. Oh man it was delicious. There were carrots and onions too and just cooked perfectly. Just what a guy needed on a Friday evening with three more hours behind the wheel to go. Thanks Gravel!!
Great food & 12 local brew house beers/ciders. Old west bar with game & casino machines, with a dinning are in the back. We stopped for late lunch & it was AWESOME!!! Make this a must stop for food & drink while in Ennis Montana after stopping through some of the local shops & Willies Distillery.
Great everything! So happy we stopped. Sue tending the bar was awesome! The Cowboy Burger and Cobb salad were excellent! Even the side salad was awesome! The house-made dressing was so tasty! Thank you!
First stop into Montana. Had a burger and a beer. Pretty fancy selection of burgers. Beer was from the brewery next door. I guess or last stop if you’re headed the other way. Watch out for those Idaho police if headed the other way. They will get ya for speeding lol
Loved our experience at Gravel Bar! So many great options in Ennis but this one is well worth your time! Fish and chips were excellent and the tartar sauce was to die for. Generous portions. Can’t wait to return and try out more of the menu!
Big thanks to this awesome bar for being open when everything else in town was already closed. That’s actually a big issue around here — when you get back from the parks late and there’s nowhere to grab food at 9 PM. We honestly didn’t expect much since it’s mainly a bar, and we were okay with that, but we were pleasantly surprised. The salads we ordered were pretty tasty, and the portions were generous. We also really appreciated how friendly and welcoming the bartender was. Yes, the place has a very local vibe, and in the evening, you’ll likely see a few regulars hanging out — but don’t let that scare you off. Everyone was chill and friendly. If you find yourself on the road late like we did, we definitely recommend stopping by for a bite.
